Description

Eisberg Italia, a company producing iv range vegetables for customers of primary importance, decided to build a new settlement in the municipality of Monterotondo in an existing industrial warehouse, which was to be emptied, adapted and expanded.

First of all, CED INGEGNERIA designed the new layout in the existing structure with the choice of process machinery.

The interventions carried out for the adaptation of the existing structure are:

  • Complete removal of all non-structural parts of shed
  • Identification of the portions of internal mezzanine structures that could be used
  • Identification of the possible reuse of existing office areas
  • Insertion and optimization of the layout of the production process
  • Insertion and optimization of Eisberg personnel flows within the existing spaces
  • Identification of the processes necessary to bring the existing plant to the quality and energy standards necessary for a IV range plant.

The project has been designed in order to find the best solutions to:

  • Optimize product and people flows
  • Separate the flows of goods, people from the various departments
  • Optimize the environmental standards of the production areas
  • Optimize the energy efficiency of the plant
  • Create paths for office workers, maintenance staff and visitors keeping them outside the production areas but with great visibility of them.
