Care home Clinica Castelli

The expansion of Clinica Castelli consists in a building, located in the old inner courtyard, with 1 basement, 1 lower ground floor and 4 floors above ground; In addition to the new building, the CUP was reallocated in front of the clinic and the radiology clinics were renovated.
Of important impact for the attention to the person, visual, aesthetic and energetic is the realization of the covered bioclimatic garden on the floor of the hospitalizations: it’s a space with 10 meters of height dedicated to the patients’ stay covered by a curved window supported by a system of tubular and branched metal structures.

The implementation of plant systems for heating, cooling, A.C.S. production and technological systems for medical service and for activities in the clinic were referred to improve energy efficiency and control systems increasing thermal and cooling capacity available for feeding new circuits.

The building expansion was made with materials and thermal insulation techniques that have resulted in high thermal performance.
The internal heating and air conditioning systems are air-water mixed type and a treatment and distribution of air plant was made with heat recovery. The electrical systems are powered by a new general electrical panel for more power to replace the existing. The main distribution is positioned in vertical compartmentalized fire shafts.
